Admission Requirements

Five WASSCE/GCE “O” Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science and Biology. For the Environmental Science Programme candidates are required to have Five WASSCE/GCE “O” Level credits including English Language and Mathematics plus any two of the following science subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Transfer students from HDA to BSc at the UTG

Candidates who have successfully completed all the requirements of the HDA course with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00 and above may be admitted for the BSc degree in Agriculture.

     Admission Requirements

Candidates must have 5 WASSCE/GCE “O” Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics. A credit/Pass in a Business/Commerce subject is an added Advantage for consideration for Admission.

  • School of Education BEd ( 4 years) Concentrations on:

Geography         History      Arabic      French

Admission Requirements

I) Five (5) GCE O’Level/WASSCE credits including English Language and Mathematics and a credit in the candidate’s area of study

II) Four (4) GCE O’Level/WASSCE credits including English Language and HTC in two teaching subjects with a CGPA of 3.2 and above plus  a  “B” grade in their first and second year General Math and English courses at HTC.

III) Mature teachers, (at least 30 years old) should have Three GCE “O” Level/WASSCE credits including English Language and two teaching subjects at HTC level plus a “B” grade in their first and second year General Math and English courses at HTC.

Admission Requirements

Five WASSCE/GCE “O” level credits including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, plus any other Science Subject. For the computer Science Programme, candidates must have at least a C4 in Mathematics.  For the Information Systems Programme, candidates must have five WASSCE/ GCE “O” level credits, including English Language, Mathematics and one core Science.

Admission Requirements

5 Credits at GCE “O” Level /WASSCE including English Language and a Pass in Mathematics.All Bachelor’s Degree holders from recognized institutions are eligible and may also be eligible to have their GERs transferred.

  •  School of Journalism and Digital  Media

Admission Requirements

Candidates must have 5 Credits including English and a pass in Math. Candidates with certificates and Diplomas in Journalism (or related fields) or have been practicing will have an added advantage

  •  School of Engineering and Architecture
          BSc. Planning & Design

Admission Requirements

5 WASSCE Credits including English Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and one Technical or Fine Art subject. Qualified Applicants having successfully completed the appropriate GTTI Diploma programmes may be granted Advanced Standing of up to one year.

Admission Requirements

M.B/ Ch.B. Medicine:Candidates must have Five WASSCE/GCE “O” level credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. 

Department of Nursing and Reproductive Health

(1) 4 Year BSC Nursing programme (Nursing General or with concentration on Midwifery) 

To be admitted to the 4 year BSc Nursing degree programme, candidates must  be in possession of the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level or the West African Senior School Certificate, with credits in five subjects including English language and Mathematics and at least two Science subjects, i.e Biology, Chemistry, Physics. 

(2)-Transfer Students with SRN/RN/WAHEB (Nursing General or with concentration on Midwifery)

For the 2 year BSc Nursing degree, candidates must have GCE O’level/WASSCE credits in five subjects including English Language and at least two Science subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics plus the above mentioned certificates and two years work experience as a State Registered Nurse.

(3)-Department of Public Health.

Transfer students with HND

For the 2 year BSc degree in Public Health, candidates must have GCE O’level/WASSCE credits in five subjects including English Language and at least two Science subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics plus the above mentioned certificate and two years work experience as a Public Health Officer.

  • Mature Students

Mature students ( for all the schools), aged 30 and above, with 3 credits - one of which must be  English Language  or math (a credit in one and a pass in the other)  plus 5 years work experience and a professional qualification in the  candidate’s area of study may be considered if they have a special aptitude and experience.
