*GENDER AND HEALTH MINISTRY OF UTGSU HELD A MEETING WITH GPA*
In another unprecedented move the Gender and Health Ministry of the University of The Gambia Students' Union on Thursday 27th July 2017 held a very important meeting with staffs of The Gambia Ports Authority at Banjul This is the latest in a series of efforts by the ministry to forster ties and build a strong partnership between it and potential donors. During the meeting pertinent issues were discussed notably how to garner financial support to fix the inhumane sanitary conditions at the UTG. The Gender and Health Minister Fatoumatta S Jallow, commended ports for the supports they've been rendering to the UTG and pleads for more to help solve what she calls an 'Emergency Situation'. The toilets facilities at the UTG are in a very deplorable and disastrous state and thus require immediate actions she remarked. For his part Assan Jome a senior finance manager said GPA have so many challenges but despite that management will do its utmost best to solve the sanitary problem of the UTG.
Babucarr B. Jallow the chairperson also said they appreciate the meeting and will be happy to help in anyway possible. He said sanitation is a priority for GPA when it comes to UTG affairs. The meeting was facilitated by the Assistant Gender and Health Minister Cherno Ebrima Jallow.
